The BrainCircuits.io application is organized into workspaces which are composed of a set of widgets. Each widget provides particular functionality to interact with the dataset that is associated with a given workspace. The following pages describe each individual widgets' functionality and availability for specific datasets.
As a general rule, objects are identified with so-called segment IDs (also known as body IDs), which are usually large integer values. These segment IDs are generally a way to access and query information about neurons with which these segment IDs are associated with. They can be easily copy-pasted and used in the context of different widgets by entering them in the top-most segments box. In some cases, selected segments in one widgets can be directly sent to other widgets via a button press to update the target widget's state.
